Pookode Lake

Pookode Lake is a lake having the shape of India’s map. It is located amid forest at an altitude of 770 meters above sea level and is one of the most popular tourist spots in the Wayanad district of Kerala.

I went for a walk through the forest surrounding the lake. It was a great experience! On one side of the lake, there were the forest-land boundary stones. I stopped at places to take photos. The place was really quiet and calm with an air, so cool and refreshing. After the walk, I went for boating. The boat ride was something I enjoyed very much!

For a one day eco-tour, Pookode Lake is a perfect place!
