Lalbagh is a 240 acres botanical garden located in south Bangalore. The garden has trees that are over 100 years old and has over 1000 varieties of species of fauna. It has a famous glass house which hosts an annual flower show. The foundation stone for the Glass House was laid in 1898 by Prince Albert Victor, the grandson of Queen Victoria. Lalbagh houses India’s largest collection of tropical plants. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bangalore.
There are well laid out roads and pathways everywhere. There is a lake too! There are many open spaces under the tree shades where one could relax and spend time.
The beauty of this place is worth seeing. Lalbagh is considered as one of the best gardens in the East.
